Ents and Bar

Ents are a really big part of college life at Girton. Twice a term the JCR Ents officers organise themed Ents which give everybody a chance to get together and have a good night - without even having to leave college! This year at Girton we have held a silent disco, 'Icons', 'Winter Wonderland', 'Royal Wedding' and '90s' themed Ents, and we ended the year with the annual Girton Garden Party. We pride oursleves on our sense of community at Girton, and the success of Ents is definitely proof of the unique, close-knit atmosphere that Girton provides!

The bar provides a retreat from what can sometimes be an extremely busy and stressful term, it's a place where you can relax with a couple of friends, enjoy the 'witty banter' of our resident barman Jon, play pool with the dulcet tones playing from the jukebox. There's a pub quiz most weeks - and we'll be doing a league for the regulars, on a termly basis - starting this year, and there's a lot of football on. It's also the home of some of the most famous cocktails known to Cambridge, including the Green Monster. Twice termly, we also hold an 'underground in the bar', a concept similar to ents but held in the smaller, more cosy arena of the bar, unmissable!
