Main College Site

The Main Library has some secrets:

  • The door to the right of the photocopier leads to the Extension. This is where you’ll find the Law collection (books and journals) as well as Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies books. This quiet area also has desks for you to work at, which comes in handy in the busy period of Exam Term. You can also reach it through the door on the first floor of the Main Library (near the books on Shakespeare).
  • There is a group study room available for use by students. Sessions can be booked at the desk.
  • The glass door to the right of the main desk leads to toilets.
  • Windows throughout the Library can be opened in warm weather; you can open the ones in the IT Area yourself but for all other areas you need to ask at the desk for the key.
